My property is very narrow so a plan like this one is perfect. What is this style called?

This is a very popular style and looks great with a garage attached! It is called a gable entry, or “shotgun style” ranch. We have many different designs to choose from.

We plan on finishing our basement, so the openness of the basement stairwell is preferred, like shown on this plan. Can we do this on any plan?

Yes! 

We would rather build our front porch on-site and make the end wall of the living room even with bedroom 1. This will allow us to have a larger kitchen with an island. Is that hard to do?

Not at all! With the deletion of the front porch, even though we are making the kitchen bigger you will still stay around the same price.
